Things That Make You Go....Hmmmmm.......

Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are almost dead?

Why do banks charge a fee on “insufficient funds” when they already know there is not enough money?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars; but have to check when you say the paint is still wet?

Why doesn’t Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an “S” in the word “lisp”?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?

Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?

Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?

How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?

When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, “It’s all right?” Well, it isn’t all right, so why don’t we say, “That really hurt, why don’t you watch where you’re going?”

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that’s falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?

In winter, why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

And my favorite …

The statistics on sanity is that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends—if they’re okay, then it’s you.

Peace :)

I'm a General Conference Baby

What? My Birthday always lands on General Conference Weekend.

Yes, it was my birthday and i turned the big 25, Yes i'm 25. It's really not an amazing age, like 18 or 21 or even 22 it's just another year older. I don't feel old at least. Thank goodness for that. I feel...... well.... accomplished. I've graduated from College, a little later then i wanted, but heck i did it. I'm married to one of the worlds most awesomeist men and i have a job. Not an amazing job but a job non the less. Yay!

Poor Dan, he racked his brain figuring out what he should get me for my Bday. We don't have much, so of course it can't be grand and to honest there really isn't anything that i need at this moment with the budget that we have. Dan did get me a super awesome card that really is...well Dan. It gives example of what men really mean when they say some thing. For example "You look great" really means, "i am horny." It was funny and i loved it. :)

We did go over to Robert and Sally's, Dan's uncle and aunt, for a birthday celebration for me and Nick, Sally's son who's birthday is also in the month of April. It's was fantastic being able to spend it with family. Sally made a fantastic lunch/dinner. She's seriously awesome at making food. I'm getting better.

Also, can i just say Conference was awesome this year! Holland always, ALWAYS out does himself. He's always been a fav of mine when Conference comes.

Also, I got a new phone, Hooray! Well, not really. Last Monday I went home for Lunch and Dan, like every Monday, had lunch ready for me when i walked in the door. I seriously have the best husband. I left my phone at home during the Monday morning rush and i didn't know where it was. To make a long story short, We have/had a vase on our bar counter. I don't remember how this happened but Dan accidentally elbowed the vase and it came crashing to the ground. Remember how i didn't know where my phone was? Well, the vase found it. It came crashing down and it fell right on my phone. Yep yep... that happened. I had a huge ugly crack in it and i could barely use it. It still worked, i just couldn't see anything. So Dan's Mom, Diane, being the nice person that she is, decided to use her phone credit that they give you so you can purchase a new phone and gave it to me instead. Diane is awesome. I love my new phone and I'm so happy to have it. :)

Oh another awesome surprise. Dan and I have been without a working dishwasher since we moved in in Jan. We mentioned it in Feb and they said they'd get someone out to look at it. No one came. We again mentioned it when we got back from Utah. They again said that they would get someone on it. Again, no one came. So when Dan went to pay rent for April he mentioned it again. The girl in the office looked it up and said that we never properly filed anything for them to fix it. Dan was a little frustrated and decided to talked to the real property Manager and low and behold we got this.....

That is right a New Dishwasher... AWESOME!!!!

Oh and I was reading an article the other day and in it they used the word "def" instead of "definitely". I was shocked! I have been using def since... i don't even know. I always say it in my head and in my journal but never out loud because i felt i would be channeling my inner valley girl and i couldn't possible do that. But since it was used in an article I will now be using it in my everyday talk. :) Def love that i can do this now. :) Hooray for Inner Valley Girls :)

Peace :)

A Von Trapp Expolsion!

Okay, so this is slightly the most awesomist thing to ever have happened and I'm so happy that i found this. It really makes my day. :)

I love, I mean LOVE Julie Andrews and The Sound of Music is one of my all time favs. It's Fantabulous. :)

I'm also fascinated with a group called ImprovEverywhere. They are based in New York City and they "causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places. " :) If i lived in NYC, i would def be doing things with them. I would want to get involved in the highest levels. :)

So naturally, after my finding, I want to show everyone it. :) It took place in a train station in Belgium.

Enjoy :)
